Insert name of youth grouptakes up WWF’s Earth Hour bunting challenge

XXX> is helping to build a brighter future by supporting WWF’s Earth Hour.

To celebrate 2015’s Earth Hour, WWF-UK is asking youth groups to focus on the things they love that may be affected by climate change. They are challenging youth groups across the UKto create special ‘For the love of…’ bunting to send a powerful message to decision makers ahead of the next big climate change summit.

In the lead up to Earth Hour 2015, XXXX group will take part in special Earth Hour themed activities, including XXXXXX. On Saturday 28 March at 8.30pm, millions of people and global iconic landmarks such as Big Ben, the House of Parliament, New York’s Times Square and the Sydney Harbour Bridgewill switch off their lights for one hour to show they care about our planet. Earth Hour 2014 saw a record-breaking 162 countries join the world’s biggest celebration under the stars.

As part of this year’s Earth Hour campaign, young people are being asked to design their own bunting which will join with other youth group’s to create a nationwide piece.

XXXX, Group leader at XXXX group, said: “We are proud to take part in WWF’s Earth Hour and our members are excited to be involved with such a great and inspiring event. Everyone can make a difference in protecting our planet and young peoplehave a key role to play. Of course there’s a serious message here, but our members will also have lots of fun as they help WWF raise awareness of the issues our planet is facing.”
