SCRIPTS
STORY: Why do rabbits have long ears? adapted from one in Jet magazine called ‘Mr. Rabbit’s long ears’
1- Once upon a time the King of the animals decided to give all the animals names. He
said:
- You’re a penguin.
- You’re a hedgehog.
- You’re a seal.
- You’re a giraffe.
- You’re a parrot.
- You’re a zebra.
And finally he said to the rabbit:
- You’re a rabbit.
2. So the rabbit went again to the King and said:
- I’m very sorry but I can’t remember my name.
The King was angry and he shook the rabbit by the ears. Suddenly his ears grew just
a little bit.
- You are a rabbit, a rabbit, a rabbit.
- Oh yes. I’m a rabbit. Thank you.
3. The rabbit saw a penguin.
- What’s your name? – said the rabbit.
- My name’s penguin.
- My name’s rab-rar-r. Oh no! I can’t remember my name. Goodbye!
So the rabbit went again to the King and said:
- I’m very sorry but I can’t remember my name.

a little bit more.
