Principal: This year we are welcoming Mrs. Castle as our principal and Mrs. Stitz as our associate principal.

Read to Achieve: Read to Achieve is a program designed to make all third grade students successful in reading. Third-grade students receive extra attention in North Carolina because of the state’s Read to Achieve legislative initiative, a part of the Excellent Public Schools Act. Under this state law, third-grade students who are not reading at grade level by the end of third grade will receive special help, including summer reading camp and other interventions to make sure that they can read well enough to be able to do fourth-grade work.

Snacks: Students will have snack time during the day. Students are also allowed to have a water bottle. The bottle must be able to close and is only for water. They can have juice for lunch but for their desks I ask only water. Students can keep this bottle on their desk all day and refill as needed.

Tardies/Early check outs:Please try to avoid. We will be doing a lot of testing this year and early check outs and tardies can affect the testing. In order to check your student out early you must have a doctor’s note or a valid reason.
