Late result:- Kylie ran the Hadleigh 10k too, came 272nd in 1hr 18 mins. Well done.
**Sunday 24th February In bitterly cold conditions 9 members took part in this fast, flat 10 mile race at Fords Dunton in aid of St Luke’s Hospice. The winner of the race covered the course in 56mins 27secs, 5.6 minute mile pace!!!! Out of 331 runners Hayley S crossed the line at 67th in 1hr 12mins 26secs, she was followed soon after by Dave L at 77th in 1:14:12 and Stephen H at 81st in 1:14:49. Beryl came next 1:21:41, then Ruth 1:22:28, Michelle H 1:33:43, April 1:38:18, Sue B 1:50:53 and Julie P 1:58:53. Congratulations to all of them. Last runner crossed the line in 1:11:03.

'I have arranged a Pampering and Shopping Evening at The Salvation Army, Fauners, SS16 5AP on Friday 22nd March at 7pm-9.30pm.
Its £2.OO entrance fee and this includes a cup of tea/coffee. Stalls include: perfumes, italian foods, personailsed gifts, bags, sweets, cakes, cards, aromatherpy,
Body Shop. pampered chef, Usborne books, mini facials, pedicure, manicures, indian head massage, make-up. etc.

Good Friday. It’s that time of year when the Essex Eggstravaganza starts to fill our thoughts, balmy spring days in lovely countryside, flowers blooming and bees awakening ... or maybe the melting snow will flood everywhere again and we'll end up trudging through mud and who knows what else!
Anyway, advance warning that race 1 on Good Friday march 29th will be a choice of 6 or 12 miles (approx) from Chigborough farm cafe in heybridge basin CM9 4RE, starts from 10am, as usual hot and cold food and drink (including beer and wine) at the cafe, entry fee £4 inc ludes £2 food/drink voucher.
These are great fun and can be attempted by most walkers and/or runners. You are given written instructions which are easy to follow. Nick and I have done several with the dogs.

London Marathon Runners
We have several members running in the London Marathon this year and raising money for various charities. If your name isn’t here please let me know.
Karen Harris is running London for Barnado's children's charity
