Rules and Regulations for Graduate Carrel Users
The following rules and regulations are agreed to when a Graduate Carrel form is signed:
•Carrels are checked out on a first-come, first-served basis.
•Keep graduate carrel locked at all times.
•Keep door, walls and ceiling uncovered.
•Food or drink left open in carrel will be removed.
•Do not loan your carrel key to anyone.
•Circulation staff will enter and check graduate carrels monthly.
•Library is not responsible for valuables left in your carrel.
•Library is not responsible for library materials checked out to you that are left in your carrel.
•A new application must be submitted for renewal.
•All carrels must be emptied out on their due date and key returned to the circulation desk.
•If the carrel goes to billed status any library items in the carrel will be discharged and re-circulated and your personal items sent to Public Safety within one week of the fine and fee notice.
•All library rules concerning check-out, renewals, returns, due dates, fees/fines, etc. apply even if items are in your graduate carrel.
•Any library items in your graduate carrel must be checked out and have a green slip placed in the item in such a way it shows at a glance that it has been checked out.
•Fee for a lost key replacement will be charged: replacement key $25.00 and processing fee of $10.00. Money must be paid at Controllers Office and a receipt be presented to the Graduate Carrel Supervisor before another key can be ordered.
Problems with the use of your carrel should be reported to the Circulation Desk.
