Call to order and introductions: Chairperson Lundell called the meeting to order at 5:05 pm.

Administrative Update:

·  Approval of October 19, 2016 minutes: Motion by Bartels; second by Mulcahey to approve the minutes. Motion carried.

·  DNR grant update – things are on track.

Clear Creek Watershed Planning Process:

·  Water quality monitoring: sampling ends in November and will resume in March.

·  Geo-locate stormwater infrastructure: field work is complete in Coralville and Oxford, and proceeding in Tiffin.

·  RASCAL Assessment: interns have been hired by ECICOG and field work is beginning under the direction of Art Bettis to complete the RASCAL in rural areas.

·  Social Assessment: on hold until IWA planning funds are available.

·  Public Outreach: nothing specific yet.

Iowa Watershed Approach Update:

·  Lead county contract & CDBG admin service agreement: Fencl reported that the contract and service agreement have been approved, but need to be amended to allow for a full time project coordinator for both Clear Creek and English River.

·  Project Coordinator position options: Both SWCD offices in Iowa County and in Johnson County are open to hiring/housing the project coordinator. Discussion followed. The Board determined that more information was needed before a decision could be reached.

·  Establish Project Coordinator hiring committee: The Board appointed John Lundell, Amy Foster, Kate Giannini, Mary Beth Stevenson, and Jennifer Fencl to serve as a hiring committee for the project coordinator. There was general consensus that the committee would work with the SWCD offices throughout the hiring process.

·  IWA Planning Services RFP/RFQ: Giannini reported that a draft RFP for planning services was almost complete and asked for a committee to review the proposals. The Board appointed Kate Giannini, Jody Bailey, Ben Clark, and Mary Beth Stevenson to serve as the planning services committee.

Announcements & Events:

·  The Technical Team meeting set for December 12th will be canceled and rescheduled

·  Stormwater Summit in Marion December 6th

·  Meeting of state’s WMAs to discuss 2017 legislative priorities December 12th in Des Moines

·  Iowa Watershed Approach Advisory Board meeting January 26th in Iowa City

·  Watershed Symposium in Dubuque February 8 – 9

·  3rd Annual Seize the Carp Festival August 5th at City Park

Next CCWC Board meeting:

The regular CCWC Board schedule is the third Wednesday of the first month of each quarter at 5:00 pm at Coralville City Hall. At this point, additional upcoming meetings include:

·  April 19th at Coralville City Hall

·  July 19th at Coralville City Hall
