  • Engaging with new employers in a range of sectors to promote the college and its’ services
  • Increasing Apprenticeship numbers by contacting new employers and promoting the benefits
  • Increasing Traineeships and work experience and placement opportunities
  • Offering a suite of short courses to employers
  • Meeting or exceeding sales targets

KEY PURPOSE: / This is a target based roleworking across a variety of industries to promote Fareham College as the leading training provider in the locality, offering a range of products including Apprenticeships and Traineeships.Building up a database of new employers using a CRM system. Line Managing a team of Account Managers and Co-ordinators to ensure all leads are followed up and that all accounts are well managed.
MAIN DUTIES
  1. To increase apprenticeship numbers:

(i)Acting as the College Ambassador in generatingnew business, responding to and selling opportunities in relation to new funding streams.

(ii)Cold calling and arranging appointments with new employers including senior management.

(iii)Signing the contract with the Employer and passing all leads onto the relevant Account Managers and Account Co-ordinators and ensuring these are effectively followed up.

(iv)Developing a CRM database of employers in order to manage all employer contacts.

(v)Developing monthly sales reports to demonstrate team performance.

(vi)On behalf of the College, attend and support external events as appropriate.

(vii)Proactively seek internship and work experience opportunities for the College.

(viii)Establish and effectively maintain strong working relationships with 3rd parties, for example JCP, and exploiting opportunities.

(ix)Working to challenging targets.

2.To increase Traineeship, work experience and placement opportunities

(i)To recruit new employers to engage in Traineeships, leading to Apprenticeships.

(ii)To recruit employers to give work experience opportunities to Fareham College students.

(iii) Liaising with curriculum support departments.

(iii)Working to challenging targets.

  1. To Line Manage Account Managers and Co-ordinators

(i)Directly line managing the Account Manager and Account Coordinator to ensure they are working toward the team goals.

(ii)Ensuring Account Managers and Co-ordinators follow up on all leads within 48 hours and adhere to other relevant service level agreements.

(iii)Ensuring Account Managers and Co-ordinators effectively liaise with and manage their employers.

(iv)Support Account Managers and Co-ordinators to upsell further college services.

(v)To conduct regular staffing reviews and annual appraisals with team.

4. General:

(i)Working closely with Business Services Team to ensure all leads are followed up.

(ii)Deputise for the Business Development Manager.

(iii)To support in the development of marketing materials.

(iv)To adhere to College Health and Safety and Equal Opportunities policies and to comply with relevant legislation.

(v)To undertake any other such duties as may be reasonably required of you commensurate with your grade, at your initial place or work or at any of the other College sites as determined by the Principal.
