TODAYS ANNOUNCEMENTS:
1. Community Care of West Virginia – our school based healthcare offers hours on Tuesday afternoon and all day Wednesday.
2. CREDIT RECOVERY: We will offer credit recovery each week on Tuesday and Thursday evenings. Students must have a ride home at that time. Any student needing to make up a credit should see one of the counselors for an application.
3. TUTORING: The National Honor Society will again offer tutoring. The tutoring is Tuesday and Thursday mornings @ 7:00AM. Students who would like to request tutoring must see Mrs. DeBlossio by 2:00 the day before (Monday and Wednesday)
4. The Literacy Volunteers of Harrison County (LVHC) will once again sponsor Free Homework Help and Tutoring for the school season. Attached to the daily memo is a flyer with additional information.
5. The LHS Cougar Cheerleaders are sponsoring a trip to New York City on December 20 at a cost of $110 per seat. If interested please contact a cheerleader, Mandi Brown or Candi Toothman.
6. CHALLENGE PROGRAM will be here TODAY at 10:00 am to distribute monetary awards to our students.
7. PSAT EXAM: Any junior planning to take the PSAT (National Merit Exam) should register with Mrs. Decker. The cost of the test is $14.00 and it will be given at Lincoln High School on Wednesday morning, October 15, 2014.
8. BEAUTY AND THE BEAST: Auditions for Beauty and the Beast will be October 9 & 10 from 3-4:30 pm. Students need a 1 minute prepared monologue and a prepared song. Any questions see Mr. or Mrs. Channell or Mrs. Metheney.
9. PURCHASE WITH A PURPOSE: Mr. Crosby is selling tickets to the PURCHASE WITH A PURPOSE at the Meadowbrook Mall on November 2 from 6pm – 9pm. All proceeds go towards his daughters 4-H Scholarship. Cost of the ticket is $5.00. Please see Mr. Crosby if you would like to buy a ticket.
10. CAMERON WADE: Mrs. Hawkins and Megan Earnest are selling bracelets to help the Cameron Wade Family. The bracelets are $3.00 and say “Cameron Strong.” Please see Mrs. Hawkins or Megan Earnest at lunch.
11. Friday night varsity football game vs Ritchie Co. is the annual “PINK OUT NIGHT” game. Put on your pink and come support your Cougars. A special collection will be taken for the American Cancer Society.
12. Any senior who did not get a Jostens Graduation Order Packet and/or any sophomore who did not get a Jostens Class Ring Order Packet should stop in the office and pick one up.
13. The Harrison County College Fair will be Thursday, October 16 from 6-7:30 pm at RCB. This is open to all students and parents. A $500 scholarship will be awarded to one lucky participant
14. Anyone interested in joining the swim team should see Mrs. Hausvater in room 216 to sign up!!

ACT MATH PREP CLASS AT BMS
John Ebert will be presenting an act Math Prep Class at BMS on October 14 and 15. The classes will run from 6-8 pm in the BMS LGI.
The ACT will be given on October 25
Any student that wants to increase the math score on their ACT is strongly encouraged to attend.
