General Discussion:

A discussion was held about a pay to play program to help fill in numbers on teams. Our overall player count is low with 1-2 teams not even at 10 skaters. A review and discussion have been had to look at other alternatives vs. a pay to play such as combining team levels, but the results of the review of alternative options would not provide solution to our cover contracted ice costs. Pay to play discussions resulted with an approval to move forward with the initiative under the following guidelines:

1.  Cost - $1,250.00 that must be paid with a 50% deposit upon agreement and balance in full by Sept. 1st 2016. No exceptions and no payment plans accepted and all funds are non-refundable. Players will not be eligible to participate in any TYSA activity if not paid in full by Sept. 1st 2016.

2.  All teams with skater numbers lower than 13 skaters are eligible to recruit players for their team to get the number of players on a team to 13 skaters. This does not include goalies.

3.  All recruitments are done by coaches and then must be reviewed by the TYSA Hockey Committee for level placement and then presented to the TYSA BOD.

4.  Alternate positions do not roll over to the following season. The plan will be reviewed by the TYSA BOD on an as needed basis. The target for the plan is 1. To reduce the budget shortfall due to low registrations and 2. to attract players back to the program full time as their primary team.

5.  Pay to play players are eligible to participate in all practices and games.

6.  All TYSA, MA Hockey, and USA Hockey rules apply to all alternate players and families.

·  Motion to adjourn meeting by Joe Breen at 10:05 pm

Second: Mike Chapman

Motion approved unanimously.
