5. Treasurer’s Report / Tabled
Books audited and requires executive sign off. We are in healthy financial situation which allows us to pursue new financial opportunities re: travel bursaries and student memberships.
6. Executive Nominations/positions/elections / Secretary confirmed an election for office holders not required as the current office-holders had accepted re-nomination, and current executive is also continuing. The president stated he would not accept re-nomination for 2017. The conference provides an opportune time for change-over and the executive were encouraged to consider nominating.
7. Membership Update / Discussion re introduction of reduced membership fees for postgrads. Unanimously endorsed. Due to 2016 membership forms already widely dispersed this will be adopted for 2017 membership and membership forms will be amended accordingly. (This ties in well with the conference where registration fees for postgrads (which includes InASA membership) is at a reduced rate). / Treasurer to recommend a figure to be endorsed by circular to the exec.
8. 2016 conference update / Conference organiser a late apology for the meeting. All in train. The CFP has been widely disseminated.
9. Travel bursary associated with conference implemented / Sub-committee to assess applications. Decision that sub-committee should convene within 2 weeks of CFP closing.
