Disability Information Day
Thursday 16th February 2017 at Audley Community and Sports Centre
On Thursday 16th February 2017 Blackburn with Darwen Children’s Services Department is hosting the 8th Annual Disability Information Day. The day will be jointly hosted with Blackburn with Darwen Parents In Partnership (PIP) who now have responsibility for delivering the local Parents Forum.
The event will be open to the public from 10am –3.30pm
Stand holders will be able to gain access from 9am to set up.
We are hoping to promote all of the services, organisations and support groups available locally to children, young people and adults with disabilities who live in the borough and are inviting you to host a display stand at this event. If you would like to be included, then please complete and return the reply slip overleaf.
This is the perfect opportunity for you to showcase your organisation, group or service, and we are intending to make this our most successful event to date. This year we intend to advertise the event extensively utilising local media and contacts such as the Carer’s Service, Disability Links, The Learning Disability Partnership Board and the Community and Voluntary Service as well as a wide range of community venues.
A free lunch will be made available to all those who attend.
Please ensure that your stand is sufficiently staffed or that you arrange for someone to remove promotional materials at 3pm prompt.
Tables will be provided for stall holders, however stands must be provided by the stall holder where required.
There is no cost attached to booking a stall at this event, however, the organisers would ask all stand holders to bring a prize to donate to the raffle which will be drawn on the day.
