Essex Association for Councils of Voluntary Service (EACVS), Safer Essex and The Office of The Police and Crime Commissioner for Essex are pleased to be jointly hosting the third in a series of conferences uniting the voluntary and public sectors to create safer communities.

After the success of events in 2013, the conference will be following a similar structure, designed in consultation with the community to review crime and community safety in Essex, two years on from the appointment of Nick Alston, Police and Crime Commissioner for Essex. The aim isto continue building links for future collaborative work, to identify need, establish effective mechanisms for communication and highlight what can be achieved and whatisbeing achieved already across the county and in other parts of the country.

The event will include workshops on the following topics; Road Safety, Victims, Voluntary Sector Capacity Building, Mental Health, Reducing Reoffending, and Community Resolution and Out of Court Disposals.
