In Attendance: Dana Mordecai, Melissa Ford, Stephanie Ozuna

  1. Post Conference Debrief:
  2. Liked having it at the SA location and hotel.
  3. Food rooms forconference were a little crowded.
  4. Potentially mix roundtable idea with lunch to give a reason to separate people.
  5. If conference gets bigger maybe move to theater style and no table.
  6. Door prizes for next year’s conference. Ex. IPad
  7. Increase our block of hotel rooms at conference.
  8. Data Presentation from Platform Vendor was not that helpful. Title didn’t match the presentation.
  9. Dustin from Chegg was good but a lot of research was based on one demographic of students.
  10. Potentially try to stay away from vendor presentations. How can we incentivize people to present? Reach out to people during the year. Maybe a discount hotel rate.
  11. Reach out to a conference chair.

  18. Content Questions:
  19. Summer Institute disable or put in new content like survey and join a committee info.
  20. Most presentations have been uploaded to slideshare.net/txgap. Dana will follow up with the missing ones.
  21. Melissa will come up with content on “thanking people for attending” and disable anything else that is not needed.
  22. Dana did “thank you note” to presenters.
  23. Brandon and Dana thanked Brenda Harms and Brenda would like to help us with professional development opportunities like “New recruiter” training and etc. With no expectation because they are built around professional development opportunities. We agreed she was great but maybe hold off and figure out how we can best utilize her. Maybe a winter program? Dana will talk to her and find out what other webinar topics they may be willing to do. Possibly having Brenda be a contributor to our online forums. Dana brought up the point of maybe people would be shy about asking vendor questions if vendors are looking at the forums. Think about this.
  24. Need to update all final conference expenses. $6,000 profit on the conference.
  25. Email and survey people who attended last year but didn’t attend this year.
