Summary

In a few words this is a fantastic TX with telemetry with very few money.

The best Hardware (with this money) with a moderate to bad software.

WE NEED A NEW SOFTWARE IMMIDIATELLY.

BUT...

All of you that you were using like me 9x x9R or Taranis (OPEN TX) you should calm down, be patient and start to think different.

This is another menu and you can do pretty much anything but in a different way of thinking. We used to work everything with the mixer menu as we had no limitation on mixes.

FIRST if you have a binding problem with tgy i6 parkfly receiver downgrade at

19-3-2015 firmware and it will work. http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/store/uploads/713007333X365809X43.zip

With the Tgy i6 parkfly and 2 simple modifications I have one of the best small but powerfull receivers in market. The tgy-ia6 receivers are very good solution if you know how to make them full range (make them dipole from monopole that they really are) 29.5mm worked better than 31mm that is the calculation for ¼ wavelength.

Also mod the battery voltage indicators instead of bec indicators that they are. Without extra cables for sensors and with very small dimensions and with minimum weight you have the ideal receiver WITH telemetry up to 6 channels project! (some have already made them 8 channels receivers I don’t know how).

SETUP A MODEL (basic)

1. START by choosing the right model that fits your model.

THEN choose for example how many ailerons - flaps -elevator -rudder you have.

2. THEN USE FIRST the available menus that are NOW only available in main menu like "AIL to Rudder" and make from there the basic mixes.

THEN USE the "Expo" menu to determine the DUAL RATES that you want and any expo you want.

3. THEN only use the "linear mixes" and curve mixes.

4. IF mixes are not enough then you can go to the “conditions” menu and set many more. And you can use conditions as you wish for flight conditions.

5. Throttle cut will be as i did on linear mixes:

Master: "throttle function" Slave "throttle function" up-100% down -100% offset -100% and assign a switch.

PROS:

1.  Good hardware construction

2.  Nice color Lcd screen

3.  Plenty of knobs and switches

4.  TELEMETRY!!

5.  Cheap telemetry sensors

6.  Compact dimensions

7.  Diversity

8.  Very good signal strength (more than 1500m on ground – double on air without strong interferences enviroment)

9.  Up to 14 channel receivers

10. Quality storage box.

11. Usb connection and charge.

12. SD card for infinite models.

CONS:

1. Small battery but you can buy a second one for spare. I install inside 2 extra batteries from an old phone - can use a power bank - or charge in car with you cell phone charger.

2. Not bright enough Lcd screen so you have to use 100% backlight outside but this makes the battery life even shorter.

3. Comes without a charger (if someone has none available will have to buy one)

4. Usb connector not strong enough – needs epoxy reinforcement.

5. Not open source program like other Turnigy TX.

SUGGESTION FOR IMPROVEMENTS

1. A new better software

2. An improved firmware of the existing.

3. A minute talking timer for glider pilots would be fine.

4. A custom available (we have sd card ready) warnings menu

5. Open the software to people like the team of OPEN TX and you (Turnigy-Hobbyking) will have one of the best TX in the word to up to 14 channels TX. The sellings will be 5 times more.
