IMEC 17 - PAPER TEMPLATE

PAPER FORMAT AND OTHER POINTS FOR THE IMEC 17 PROCEEDINGS

1. The paper should start with an introduction and end with conclusions/recommendations (optional). The introduction should end with the structure of the paper. Acknowledgement, References, along with notes and a list of abbreviations if any, should be presented at the end of each paper.

2. The papers or workshop activity proposals which should not exceed 10 pages (up to 6,000 words), should be ready for CD-ROM copying and formatted to the following guidelines: printed in MS word; page size: A4 (210 x 297); font: Times New Roman; font size, 12pt; line spacing: 1.0 (single spacing); paragraph spacing: 6 pt; margins 2.5 cm (1 inch). The graphs, figures, tables, diagrams and pictures should be clear and accessible and should be incorporated into the text. Sources should be acknowledged below the tables and figures.

i)Table titles (font size 12) should be placed on top (of each table) and should be numbered (text font size 11)

j)Figure titles (font size 12) should be placed at the bottom (of each Figure) and should be numbered (text font size 11)

k)Appendices should have titles (font size 12) and labelled as Appendix A, Appendix B etc. (text font size 11)

l)The last page should contain the author(s) half-a page c.v. indicating qualifications, work experiences and specializations, membership in organizations, publications and awards and (optional) a 2x2 scanned picture (coloured with white background)

m)References: a recognized referencing system (e.g. Harvard style, APA system) should be used.

References in the text should be indicated by the author's name and a year of publication in parentheses. The full bibliographic details should be provided in the list of references, which should include(in alphabetical order by author) every work cited in the text.
