Position: AssistantManager of Safety and Fleet Vehicles

Scope of Position: The Assistant Manager of Safety and Fleet Vehicles leads and managessafety programsand fleet operations to nurture change toward the model of an accident-free workplace and ensure efficienciesin the care, up-keep, condition, maintenance, cleanliness and overall appearance of the fleet assets of the WinShape Foundation.

Reports to: Manager of Facilities

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement policies, procedures, and programs to ensure compliance with governing regulations as it pertains to safety and recommend changes to reduce hazards as it pertains to health and safety.
  • Develop and implement safety training programs for current staff and as part of the on-boarding process for new hires.
  • Serve as the lead on safety improvement related projects. This includes clarifying project scope, Request For Proposal (RFP) development, proposal evaluation, purchase order creation, project scheduling/completion compliance, and communication plan with project key stakeholders to ensure all projects are delivered on-time, within scope, and within budget.
  • Create statement of work documents in association with Business Services for WSF contractors and establish and maintain relationships with contractors and vendors.
  • Lead and manage Foundation Fleet Vehicle Program that includes a current fleet listing, ongoing repair & preventative maintenance, asset replacement schedule, and operation guidelines
  • Develop and implement travel / fleet policies and procedures for the Foundation.
  • Create and maintain business agreementsin strategic locations to maintain fleet in various locations throughout the southeastern United States.
  • Collaborate with Facilities Leadership to develop and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) to ensure efficient operation and the setting of clear expectations for our staff and vendors.
  • Serve on the Operations Management Team.
  • Perform other duties and tasks as assigned by the Manager of Facilities.

Requirements

  • Four-year college degreein engineering, occupational health and safety, or business related field.
  • 3 to 5 years of experience in industrial environment and/or exposure to OSHA small business requirements.
  • Proficiency in the use of Microsoft office programs.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
  • Multi-tasking capabilities and attention to detail
  • Skill in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with peers and vendors.
  • Valid driver’s license required.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
