Ilta Grain Signs on as MJT’s Presenting Sponsorin Saskatchewan
Vancouver, BC – (April 27, 2016) – The Maple Leaf Junior Tour (MJT), Canada’s number one-played junior golf tour and the ‘Road to College Golf’ in Canada, is pleased to announce that Ilta Grain, a leading exporter of quality grains throughout the world,has signed on as Presenting Sponsor for three multi-day MJT events on the Saskatchewan schedule for the 2016 season.
President of Ilta Grain, Dan Burneski, saw his daughter play many tournaments on the MJT ending up with a Division 1 golf scholarship at Indiana State University in the USA several years ago, and believes in what the program can do for young athletes, in golf and in life. “I am happy to support the efforts of the non-profit Maple Leaf Junior Golf Tour,” says Dan Burneski. “The program puts on very high quality tournaments which are the gateway to college golf for many players, plus I firmly believe golf is a great game for all young people to play.”
Ilta Grain, withsix plant locations in Saskatchewan spread out between Swift Current, Cutknife, North Battleford, Saskatoon and Belle Plaine, specializes in all types and varieties of pulses and oilseeds, sourced directly from the growers and then processed at the plants before being shipped worldwide. May 22-23 – MJT Ford Series/IMG Academy Junior Worlds Qualifier at Chinook Golf Course in Swift Current
June 4-5 – MJT-CPGA of Saskatchewan/Golf Saskatchewan OOM Series at The Willows in Saskatoon
August 27-28 – MJT Golf Saskatchewan OOM Championship at The Willows in Saskatoon

About the MJT: The non-profit Maple Leaf Junior Golf Tour presented by Boston Pizza is Canada’s number one-played Junior Golf Tour as well as the only national junior tour run exclusively by PGA of Canada Professionals and the ‘Road to College Golf’ in Canada.
