Dear Parent:

Congratulations! Your child, ______was selected to compete in our school Spelling Bee, which will be held on Thursday’s, November 13, 2014 at 11:15 a.m. in the Auditorium. The Bee once again will be judged by Kimberley H. Tyson, a Denver attorney. The 10 top spellers of the school contest will form our school spelling team. The team will compete at the District oral spelling bee, held on January 29, 2014 at Bradley Elementary School, from 9:15-11:15 a.m., and at the City Written Spelling Bee on February 19, 2014. Parents are welcome and encouraged to come to the oral competitions, including on Thursday.

If you need the list of words we will use for Monday’s Spelling Bee, please look on the GT Weebly site: http://www.gusttechnology.com/gt---mrs-laff.html . Students should study all of the words on their grade level and the one above. For the first two rounds, each student will be asked to spell a word from his or her grade level list. After that, students will be asked to spell words from the grade level above them. In order to break a tie or choose the First Place winner, the judge may choose words from the 8th grade list of words.

¡Felicitaciones! Su hijo ha sido seleccionado para competir en el Concurso de Ortografía de la escuela, que se celebrará el jueves, 11 de noviembre 2014 a las 11:15 am en el Auditorio.
