What is needed to be a HEB Student?
If you are able to meet all of the below requirements, you are ready to be a HEB Student.
Carefully read, understand and answer the following questions honestly, if necessary, this may take you more than a day if you need to have information checked to be certain. Completing this checklist will help you determine your readiness for being an e-learning student.
1. I can use a computer effectively. o
2. I have ready access to the internet so that I can actively and timely take part in
class and group activities. o
3. My computer has Windows 7 operating system and has a video camera and microphone. o
4. I have MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint loaded on my computer/devise to be used for class. o
5. I have a dedicated place where I can sit and study when I am ready. o
6. I can read and follow directions clearly. o
7. I feel no hesitation to seek clarity if I do not understand. o
8. I am respectful of other person’s views and opinions even when they may differ from my own. o
9. I am self-discipline and can control my time by engaging in good time management practices. o
10. I am able to purchase the necessary material, HEB will advise me to acquire. o
11. I am willing and able to follow the guidelines set out by HEB for my success. o
12. I am willing to work co-operatively with other online students towards the goals set out. o
13. I am willing to meet ALL the deadline set out module/topic completion and assignment submission. o
14. I am financially able to meet the monetary commitments of having HEB work with me to reach my academic goals. o
15. At the required date, I will be able to register and pay the necessary entry and exam fees at the Ministry of Education. o
