IDIA Strikes Again: Our New Harvest

Fees to be Paid to Secure Admission

Last Date for Payment of Fees (9th June, 2012)

Owing to the wonderful support of many of our well-wishers, we were able to obtain a good strike rate this year as well. Eleven of our scholars from various parts of India made it to prestigious national law schools this year. However, we need to collect close to Rs 10 lakhs in order to help these bright sparks gain admission.

However this is just the admission fee. In order to put these children through 5 years of law school, we need Rs 2 lakhs per year per scholar on an average. This works out to Rs 10 lakhs per scholar for the complete course, Or a whooping Rs 110 lakhs for all the 11 scholars!

Without your support, these underprivileged students will not be able to study at these premier institutes and achieve their dream of becoming leading lawyers.

Birlas have agreed to fund two Eastern region scholars (Sanjana and Lucy): Rs 3,20,000

Total Fee Waivers/Sponsorship Commitments: 6,07,450

Deficit (Amount that we need now to admit these scholars): Rs 9,23,200

Amount we need later to help them complete 5 years of their law degree: 7 scholars times 2 lakhs per year: 14 lakhs per year OR 70 lakhs for all 5 years!
