IDENTIFYING AND DESTROYING SATANIC STRONGHOLDS
The purpose of the devil is to turn the world into a desolate wasteland and the inhabitants into perpetual slaves under his control and dominion. He builds fortresses around people and cages them in so that they are held in bondage at worst or their freedom is highly restricted at the very best.
For the christian, there is victory through the blood and name of Jesus. God has given us mighty weapons that we can use to tear down, pull down, destroy every satanic stronghold and fortress thereby setting the captives free to go and serve God and enjoy God’s best this side of heaven.
Many people suffer unnecessarily because of IGNORANCE. They are ignorant of the devices, methods, strategies, wiles, traps, etc. of the devil (2 Corinthians 2:11). They are ignorant of the way of escape that God has provided, the pathway to victory and dominion that God has paved, the emancipating truth that Christ brought (Hosea 4:6; 1 Corinthians 10:13; John 8:32,36).
RECOGNISING SATANIC STRONGHOLDS
1 Chronicles 4:9,10; Job 1:6-22; 2:1-7; 2 Samuel 13:1-20; Mark 5:1-20,25-27; Luke 11:21,22; 13:11-16; Psalm 11:2; 64:3-7.
(1)Lack of progress in life no matter what is done to rectify the situation (1 Chronicles 4:9,10)
The individuals affected work hard, pray and fast, yet there is no significant result. They suffer unnecessary hardships, are visited by unexplainable misfortunes and experience unusual handicaps in their work, career or business life. This stronghold may be as a result of a curse.
(2)Regular, unexplainable happenings, mysterious death of family members etc. (Job 1:6-22; 2:1-7)
(3)Unreasonable, overpowering, compulsive habits that defy reason and willpower (2 Samuel 13:1-20)
(4)Acute delays relating to getting married, having children and turbulent marriages
Disappointments and turbulence at EVERY turn when a breakthrough is in sight, constant quarrels that defy reason and explanation, unexplainable miscarriages and stillbirths, infertility and impotence that cannot be medically certified, etc. are all demonic manipulations and strongholds.
(5)Sicknesses that have defied all medications (Mark 5:25-27; Luke 13:11-16)
Such sicknesses deplete our earthly resources no matter how much we have until we are rendered penniless. They are a kind of devourer that the enemy plants in our lives, a financial and physical drain to ensure that our WEALTH and HEALTH are destroyed.
(6)Acute poverty or always living a life of insufficiency
Experiencing a demonic crop failure when all around people are celebrating a bumper harvest, experiencing failure in EVERY business venture and undertaking, living from hand to mouth no matter how hard we work are all satanic strongholds.
(7)Tension-creating disposition and strained relationships no matter how studied and careful we try to be
REMOVING SATANIC STRONGHOLDS

EVERY satanic stronghold can be removed and destroyed as we pray in the mighty name of Jesus. We cannot afford to be glossy and general in our praying. We need to attack specific satanic strongholds that we have identified in our lives, break the yoke, pull down the stronghold, cancel whatever curse that might be operating in our lives.
Praying violent, targeted, strategic, specific spiritual warfare prayers will bring results (Matthew 11:12; 2 Corinthians 10:3-5; Jeremiah 1:10; Matthew 3:10; 15:13).
(1)Bind the strongman delegated to hinder your progress and keep you in perpetual servitude, want, sickness, barrenness, etc. (Matthew 12:29; Luke 11:21,22; Mark 3:27).
(2)Revoke every curse operating in your life – parental, ancestral, communal, etc. Reject every demonic manipulation in all areas of your life (Galatians 3:13,14; Isaiah 10:27; 8:8-10).
(3)Pray that people who have hindered your blessing will release them without knowing what they are doing (Exodus 12:31-37; 14:5).
(4)Pray that every enchantment, divination and organised strategy of the devil and his cohorts against your life be rendered useless and powerless in Jesus name (Numbers 23:23).
(5)Pray that God will bring you into favour with all those that will decide on your progress and advancement, make you head and not tail, elevate, promote and prosper you (Psalm 34:10; 75:6; 113:5,7,8).
