S&G: System and Generation Association was established in 2008. Our organization aims at
making young people integrated with the society, encouraging their entrepreneurial spirit, helping them acquire knowledge and qualification, getting them know young people from different cultures, empowering sympathy and tolerance, improving cooperation and encouraging European cooperation with young people, supporting the cooperation between the international institutions.
System and Generation gets into the act about; increasing of economic growth, providing
efficiency about increasing of production, sustaining the production, sustainability that cares socioeconomic needs and planning that analyses the problems, and also with the belief of projecting process, considering co-working culture by reaching this target as the best way, combining the systems which made in EU and creativity of our citizens especially the youth. What are the activities and experience of the organisation in the areas relevant for this application?
The activities of our organization:
Field Works: With the Youth Caravan, informing young people about Eurodesk and Erasmus+, and mainly EVS in the field of Inter generational Interactions and art&culture.
European Voluntary Service and Management: As S/H/C Organization we have volunteers those we sent and have been sending as part of our accreditation and we have been working actively in this context.
European Voluntary Service and Administration of the Volunteers/Interns: As the Hosting, Sending and Coordinating Organisation, we have been working actively since 2008. S&G regularly organizes and hosts different types of activities targeted at youth education and development especially in the field of inter generational activities as coordinating 2013-TR-32

Inter generational Active Living Activities “Mirror Project” - general Objectives: The aim of this project is to strengthen the participation of young and elderly people in the social life in Ankara; by minimizing the generation gap, to ensure that elderly will play an active role in the society and finally to support the consciousness of young people regarding social responsibility. Special Objective: The main aim of the project is to build a model that will develop an intergenerational dialogue between young and the elderly, while also allowing the interaction between each other. Mirror Project builds a model that develops inter-generational dialogue between young people and the elderly and also allows the interaction between each other.
“No Visa for Youth on the Move” youth initiative project, which was improved by our volunteers, has aimed at composing awareness intended for exemption of visa which is the biggest barrier in front of the Youngsters for EU Education and Youth Program that supports the Youth Mobility. ended with No Visa Conference on 25th of June, at Turkish National Agency under the auspices of Minister for EU Affairs Youth Caravan became a symbol of No Visa for Mobility of YOUTH and rewarded as Good Practice in Ankara by Ministry for EU Affairs.
The “The Caravan of You Youth There and Youth Here” Project, which was improved by volunteer youngsters of our association, has been prepared in order to enable the information sharing among the young in terms of EU Youth Programs and European Voluntary Service. S&G Youth Information Caravan, has been visiting 52 cities every year, traveled over 120.000 km and met thousands of young people; by appearing in more than two thousand issues both visual and social media, it has contributed to introduction of youth-based European opportunities. It is known as the most sustainable youth initiative project and shown as a good application example in much domestic and overseas international work. Under the skin of our S&G Youth Caravan Project, it’s aimed at visits of universities and different education corporations in the cities they went, describing EU Education and Youth Programs and organizing information meetings in which non-formal learning techniques were applied.
Our “Future is Today; The Seminar of Holistic Approach to Youth Politics” Activity 5.1 project has been shown among the good application examples by Turkish National News Agency
S&G organizes trainings in the scope of the project of PAVITT Participatory Video a Training Tool for Young Entrepreneurs to 12 participants.
“TRIANGLE Net” (Tools for Fair & Non-discriminated Health-care of Elderly People) Objectives: To create safe environment for elderly people. To deliver training on elder abuse to up skill care staff and other practitioners working with elderly people in Ankara, Konya and Eskişehir. To improve the quality of response to support the information exchange and to establish strong ties and long-term cooperation with the elderly care centres located in Turkey, United Kingdom and Germany in the process of care and rehabilitation of the elderly. It is also our ultimate goal that using these materials as key sources in the trainings of the personnel responsible for giving elderly care with video recording and observation of the best practices in the same regard with the project partner countries.
The training courseNonFormalEducationasImportantonErasmus+is tacklingnon formaleducationasimportantfeature of Erasmus + programme with goal to provide experienced youth workers and leaders as newcomers in the field of youth work an opportunity to increase their understanding ofnon-formaleducationand abilities to use different methods based onnon-formaleducationfor empowering young people facing social exclusion, young people with fewer opportunities dealing with various obstacles and challenges.
Project Development and Implementation: Our S&G Youth Info Office is an incubator for project development. Our association has hosted in Turkey more than 50 projects on youth field (TC, YE, seminars, study sessions, conferences etc.) prepared projects, presented and carried out them since its establishment. For 2014 we already send 70 participants abroad and host for different projects (TC, YE, EVS) in Turkey more than 100 participants. We are strongly connected and with Ministry of Family and Social Policies of Turkey and most of the project we are doing and for them.
What are the skills and expertise of key staff/persons involved in this application?
System and Generation Association (S&G) was established in 2008 and have 25 members. There are members such as EU specialist, lawyer, specialist of the development, academician, civil servant and people corded to private sector.
We have EVS Coordinators, Mentors, Specialists in Youth Field and Elderly People, Youth Trainers, Social Workers, Youth Workers, Sociologists, Physiotherapist etc.
EVS Coordinator: Experienced in former EVS Implementations under 2008-TR-30 that we hosted. Mentors: 2-3 Mentors from out of the organizations experienced in mentorship for years
Youth workers: At least 10 youth workers working voluntary and professional basis are involved in our projects.Youth Trainers: Worked as youth trainer on behalf of NA.
Social Workers and physiotherapy are experts from Hacettepe University and are available more than 10 persons working collaboratively with our organization.
Many of our office staff is from abroad (not included EVS volunteers) - coming from Greece, Ukraine, Macedonia, Czech Republic, Austria etc. for contributing on success of our projects.
In addition to this, there are volunteers more than 500 youngster and 90% of those is between the ages of 13-30 from Ankara and other city's. Per year we are accepting and hosting (H - C) more than 50 EVS volunteers in Ankara for (short, long or short term group EVS)
