Medical Research:
Asthma UK funds research to find cures and new treatments for asthma. Under certain circumstances, some of this research cannot be done without involving animals and possibly embryos. As a member of the Association of Medical Research Charities we would only consider funding research involving animals or embryos where there is no alternative and where strict regulatory guidelines have been met. None of the research we currently fund uses embryos. Some of the research we currently fund involves the use of animals, and you can find out more about Asthma UK’s policy on this by visiting our Research Ethics page.
