Nominations are Due February 15, 2017
The guidelines for nomination of, Cubmaster, Scoutmaster, Den Leader, Webelos Leader, Crew Leader and Explorer Leader of the year are as follows:
-Should be trained in the position the hold-should have at least one year in the position
-should set a good example for youth, IE uniform and attitude
-should have a working relationship with sponsoring org, parents, committee and youth
-should have a good attendance at events as well as unit meetingsand activities. Please send as much information as possible on attendance at each of the meetings and events
-should promote growth and advancement of the unit and youth.
The Cub Scout of the Year award is for the youth. The Scout should set a good example of living the Scout Oath and Law and have earned the Bobcat badge.
The BoyScout of the Year award if for the youth. The scout should set a good example of living the scout motto, oath and law. Must be at least second class.
The Venture Scout of the Year award is for youth. The scout should set a good example of living the scout motto, oath and Law. Must be nominated by a fellow venture scout.
The Explorer of the Year award is for the youth. The Explorer should set a good example of living by the code of conduct as describe in the application form.
The Mullan Trail Scouter of the year is a scouter who has demonstrated exceptional service to a unit or the district
The Golden Spike Award is an individual or business who has provided service, products, or assistance to the scouting program.
The District Award of Merit is for the most dedicated Scouter of the Mullan Trail District who has demonstrated outstanding service to the scouts of the district through idealism and citizenship.
Remember that the selection committee doesn’t know who these people/businesses are. Please tell the selection committee in more than two sentences why they deserve the reward.
