REPORTING DEPARTMENTS

Business Office – Patti Taylor: Monthly verification forms will continue to be completed with signature of Program Director however vacation forms are no longer required. Leave of Absence and Sick Leave Pool forms still need to be sent to GME. A notice will go out 3-4 days prior to the billing report to fix any issues.

Health Administration – Linda Lennerth: All incoming residents and fellows have completed all requirements excluding two off-cycle residents.

Legal Counsel – Michele Cerullo: Nothing to report.

GMEC – Kristine Barry: The GMEC meeting focused on time clocks at TGH with a written policy in progress. The University of South Florida and the DIO are supportive of the new policy. Missed swipes must be handled by providing a missed punch form to Colleen Stevens or Dawn Bayless. Currently, swiping and billing are not tied together.

HOSPITAL REPORTS

ACH – Valarie Collins – Nothing to report.

JAHVA – Laura Manore – Missing the RCVL for A&I, Endocrinology, Gastroenterology, Hematology and Oncology, Nephrology, Pulmonary & Critical Care, Sleep Medicine and Occupational Medicine. Please send the completed form to Laura Manore.

Bay Pines VA – Lana Toenjes – All RCVLs and schedules have been received.

Moffitt Cancer Center – Christine Hanna – New computer program at MCC allows residents and fellows to tap badge on screen to log in. Please ensure all residents and fellows complete the computer training prior to rotating at the hospital.

Turley Family Center – Eileen Morroni – Nothing to report.

TGH – Colleen Stevens – Meal Cards are active and lab coats are coming in. A resident can purchase a blank lab coat until their coats come in and receive reimbursement from GME. Please contact Colleen Stevens with any questions or concerns. Please return sign-out forms if residents dropped off to department.

New BUsiness

GME STAFF TRANSITIONS –KRISTINE BARRY

The new GME director will start July 22, 2013. Kristine Barry will be leaving GME and Tara Stauffer will taking over the HR and Personnel functions including Payroll and Benefits. Sue Middleton and Kristine Barry will assist with the transition.

Rotation Review: Amy Fioramonte and Patti Taylor are reviewing rotations within New Innovations for billing purposes. Please respond to emails from Amy F. requesting future meetings.

New Innovations Schedule: Please be mindful the schedule is a key component in the billing module therefore GME is depending on coordinators to keep schedule up to date and accurate.

Vacation Entry in Schedules: Please remember to enter vacation on the block schedule in New Innovations. If you have any questions or concerns, contact Amy Fioramonte.

ADDITIONAL TOPICS

Spouse and Significant Other wine and cheese night will be on August 8, 2013 and is open to all incoming residents.

Parking at Moffitt Cancer Center will be reimbursed by the affiliate; details will be forthcoming in the future.
