Ms. Streib’s

Weekly Letter

Dear Parents,

I hope you are having a great weekend!

This week your children took their first tests. I wanted to let you know that I read them the reading test on Friday and I will read the test to them this coming Friday. After that, I will only read the comprehension part of the test and your children will read the vocabulary part on their own. This is the part where they will have to read their sight words or “Words to Remember”. When we begin the 2nd reader, your children will read the whole test on their own. (There are 5 readers for the year.)

Below you will find what we will be working on this week in class. There are also some reminders. Please review all papers sent home daily with your child as a review of what has been learned each day.

Blessings,

Ms. Streib

See that you do not look down on these little ones. For I tell you that their angels in heaven always see the face of my Father in heaven.”

Reminders and Information

Scholastic book orders are due on Thursday, 9/1.

I just wanted to remind you that spelling words are stapled into your child’s pink sticker notebook every Friday. This gives your child an extra couple of days to study for the test on the following Friday.J

Please remember to check red folders each day, remove all papers, and return them to school.

Please read and sign the homework written in the “pink sticker” Assignment Notebook every day so I know you have seen the assigned homework. Please also sign your child’s homework each night after it is completed in the “blue sticker” Homework Notebook. Thanks J

Mass is on Thursday. Please have your child wear his/her dress uniform.

Please make sure that your child is in the complete and appropriate school uniform. That includes socks, shoes, belts, school sweaters, etc. Please refer to the school handbook if you have any questions.

Please make sure that your child brings in a school sweater every day. Some children were a little chilly this week. If your child has his/her sweater, he/she can just get it out of the school bag if it is needed.
