Dear Parents,
I am pleased to be able to inform you of the 2010 Caroline Chisholm Study Visit to France. This visit will enable students to use their French in real life situations. Also, they will enjoy the French culture and way of life.
· Destination: Normandy
· Price: £392.50 This includes: Travel on an executive coach with air-conditioning, accommodation, all meals, all entrance fees, insurance and a tour director accompanying the trip.
· Tour dates: Monday July 5th – Saturday July 10th 2010
· Method of Travel: By executive coach and shuttle.
· Accommodation: 1 night in a hotel and 4 nights in a private, secure hostel. Students will be required to share rooms.
· Board Basis: Full board
· First inclusive meal: Dinner on day 1
· Tour Operator: Connect Studies Ltd.
Amongst the trip’s activities are:
o Visit to Honfleur
o Trip to War Memorial
o Visit to see the Bayeux Tapestry
o Toffee factory
o Cheese factory
o Visit to Mont St.Michel
o Disneyland Paris
Due to the limited number of places available, priority will be given to students in Year 8 studying French. However, Year 9 students who did not take part in the trip to Normandy last year, are also able to apply.
If you would like your son/daughter to take part in the 2010 Study Visit to France, please return the reply slip below to Miss Reed (in person) by MONDAY DECEMBER 7th. Please do not send any money at this time. If your child has been allocated a place on the visit, you will receive a letter giving more detailed information about the required deposit and further payment schedules and methods.
As students will be representing Caroline Chisholm School, they should be responsible and reliable at all times on the visit. The school reserves the right not to take any student whose behaviour/actions might put themselves or others at risk.
