Animal Management leaders and practitioners -This event is ideal for teachers, lecturers and programme leaders who want to develop their subject knowledge as well as engage in discussions relating to curriculum changes and the impact on teaching, learning and assessment.

Key aims of the event:

Key note sessions will provide an update on the concerns relating to antibiotic resistance in animals and the impact on human and animal health. A talk on Rabbit Viral Haemorrhagic disease 2 will raise awareness and analyse how the spread of the disease can be reduced.

Practical demonstrations on the bacterial spread through poor hand hygiene will support best practice and provide useful educational materials to protect animal management students from zoonotic diseases.

Discussion around the ‘lessons learnt’ from delivery of the new Technical certificates will be shared with case studies from membership colleges who have successfully run the new technical qualification in 2016-17.

There will also be the opportunity to tour the facilities at the host college as well as network and engage in relevant topical discussion with a range of delegates from the world of Animal Management.
