Hiking Hawks

~ NIGHT HIKE ~

Dear Parents/Guardians,

The Hiking Hawks will be participating in a NIGHT HIKE located on the property of Central Baptist Church at 1120 Lake Joy Road, WR 31088 across from McDonald's on the west end of Russell Parkway near I-75.. Details may also be found at the Hiking Hawks webpage on the HMS site under Clubs and Organizations.

Requirements checklist:

____ 2. $4.00 (pays for meal and marshmallow roast) *cash only please*

____ 3. Must bring a flashlight

DATE: Saturday, October 17, 2015

PLACE: Back park area of Central Baptist Church (1120 Lake Joy Road, WR 31088)

TIME: 6 pm – 9:00 **Parent pick-up 9:00 – 9:15. Please do not be late

Other gear: Flashlight Optional : lawn chair

CLOTHING: wear clothes and shoes that can get dirty. NO FLIP FLOPS. Jackets recommended.

TRANSPORTATION: is on your own…..encourage carpooling

ACTVITIES: hot-dog roast, night hike, constellation activity, marshmallow roast, campfire stories and campfire songs

PARENT’S AND GUARDIAN’S RELEASE OF LIABILITY

I understand the Hiking Hawks of Huntington Middle School are participating in a night hike with experienced hikers of CENTral OUTside at Central Baptist Church Pavilion, on Saturday, October 17, 2015. I understand this is an outdoor adventure where animals, and plants (poison ivy) may be located. I have spoken to my child about following all rules.

Should my child need immediate medical attention, Huntington Middle School has my permission to seek appropriate medical treatment.
