The guidelines for grading and make-up work can be found here: CISD Grading Policy

Grading Policy: My classes follow the CHS Grading policy. Grading rubrics, for projects, will be reviewed and sent home with students. Most all projects will contain a presentation portion. I understand that public speaking is uncomfortable to most of us, but we have a safe environment and we will work to overcome any anxiety in this area. This will better prepare us for the success of our futures.

Academic Dishonesty: Plagiarism and academic dishonesty are serious offenses. The academic work of a student is expected to be his/her own effort. Students must give the author(s) credit for any source material used. To represent ideas or interpretations taken from a source without giving credit is a flagrant act. To present a borrowed passage after having changed a few works, even if the source is cited, is also plagiarism. Students who commit any act of academic dishonesty may receive a failing grade in that portion of the course work. Acts of academic dishonesty will be reported to the administration.

Cell Phone Policy:I encourage the use of technology for instructional and learning purposes. Chromebooks have been assigned to all students and are expected to be brought to class each day, charged and ready for use. Electronic devices and their use during class time will be at the discretion of the teacher and all electronic devices need to be put away unless the teacher directs students to use them for specific assignments. Misuse of devices will result in them being taken up by the teacher.

Expectations: We will have many group and individual projects and activities in class. I expect a high level of commitment, maturity, and respect for me as well as all those participating in the class. I will expect your full participation to ensure your success and enjoyment in this class.

Classroom Rules and Expectations: Each class will be creating their own social contracts. These contracts will be implemented along with all CHS handbook rules.
