OLD/ONGOING BUSINESS

Community Meal Programs

•Multi-Cultural Center Meal – No report available.

•Luke House meal – Aletha Burrier sent report to Bev. Due to the very cold December the numbers were down. We do have a few more volunteers signed up for Luke House meal.

Snack Pack Blessings – Georgine Jacobs

•We are now serving two schools for a total of 31 children

•Last fall MOM dropped out of supplying food for this program.

•A grant of $15,000 was made available thru Second Harvest and distributed thru St Luke’s. We passed a Second Harvest food storage inspection so we are being served by them for part of our snack packs.

•Denny Sweeny and other volunteers pick up the food from St Luke’s and bring to St Bernard basement kitchen.

•St Luke’s has asked us to send volunteers to help unload the truck from Second Harvest once a month. We can see if our shopping list volunteers would be willing to do this.

•Because there has been some confusion of what the procedures are for packing and delivering Snack Packs Georgine will write up procedures and have them laminated and posted in the basement kitchen.

Middleton Outreach Ministry – Barb Roberts

Barb Roberts was not in attendance.

St Vincent de Paul - Barb Roberts

•As far as we know the December Cookie Sale was a success.

•There is a Blanket Drive “Recycle the Warmth” will be held this weekend January 26-28. Bins will be located outside the church parking lot doors.

Giving Tree Update

•There were 457 ornaments made and 26 ornaments left on the tree - not taken.

•Gifts were sorted after 11:00 mass with lots of volunteers. We created a human chain from the old cry room (storage) to the truck and it went very fast.

• Distributed as follows:
