How to ADD a Partner site

STEP 1

Go to the Bonner Partners Map at google.com

How?

Ø  Follow link on Wiki Partner Organizations Home Page (http://bonnernetwork.pbworks.com/Bonner-Partner-Organizations)

Ø  Go to maps.google.com and search for “Bonner Partners” and there will be links to the map.

Ø  Follow link: http://maps.google.com/maps/ms?ie=UTF8&hl=en&msa=0&msid=101314844730597278808.00046246673265d449327&ll=37.09024,-95.712891&spn=27.919765,57.128906&z=4&source=embed

STEP 2

Log in. If you do not have an account, create one.

STEP 3

Search for the Partner organization name in the search field.

*If the organization is not within Google Map’s system, you will need to use the street address. Then, follow the directions in “Adding site_unique address.doc.”

STEP 4

Select the correct address.

STEP 5

Click on “Save to My Maps.” Then, select “Bonner Partners” map and click Save.

STEP 6

Click on “View Map” toward the top of your screen.

STEP 7

(Optional) In the lower left-hand corner of the screen, expand the box and un-check the organization: “CASA of JN”

STEP 8

Go into “Edit” mode.

STEP 9

Scroll to the bottom of the left-hand column (all new sites will show up at the bottom of the list) and select your new site.

STEP 10

Add information to the bubble.

Step 10A: Go into the “Rich text” mode.

Step 10B: Change title if necessary.

Step 10C: Add content.

Ø  Focus: A brief (5-10 word) summary of the focus of the organization.

Ø  Alternate Sites: Are there other sites under the umbrella of this Partner?

Ø  “For more information, visit the Bonner Wiki Page.”

Step 10D: Make “Focus” and “Alternate Sites” bold.

Step 10E: Add a hyperlink to “Bonner Wiki Page”

1.  Highlight “Bonner Wiki Page”

2.  Copy the HTML from the Wiki page.

3.  Click on the hyperlink () button and paste the URL. Click “OK.”

Step 10F: Click “OK” at the bottom right-hand corner of the bubble.

STEP 11

Scroll to the top of the left-hand column and click on “Done” (or “Save” and then “Done”)

STEP 12

Double check that everything is correct by scrolling to the bottom and clicking on the Partner’s name. Be sure to test the “Bonner Wiki Page” link to make sure it works. It should look like this…
