• How does the unit ensure that the substance index is updated and accessible to all users?
• What routines does the unit have for purchasing chemicals and gases (approvals, persons responsible)?
• How does the unit work to minimise the risks associated with the use of chemicals; and as part of this, what efforts is the unit making to ensure that staff and students are not exposed to chemicals that pose a potential health hazard?
• How does the unit ensure that it does not release chemicals that pose a potential environmental hazard into the environment (drains/atmosphere)?
• How does the unit ensure that users (especially students) are given the necessary training and information?
• Are there any requirements in terms of applications, notification or permission to use and store the chemicals and gases used by the unit (danger of explosion, fire hazard)? Are there any requirements in terms of updating?
• What routines does the unit have for disposing of chemicals and gases?
• What routines does the unit have for access to, use of, and maintenance of personal protective equipment?
• What routines does the unit have for ensuring that a health check is offered when there is a risk of unfavourable health effects?
