“Department of...”/or give the name of the Research Centre, then “University of...”, and finally give the name of the “country”

· Background: This section should survey relevant literature without referring to the specific research question. Please cite at least 4-5 references in APA style.

· Aims: This section should clearly and concisely explain your specific research question. Please do not write more than 2-3 sentences!

· Main contribution: This section should include a clear statement of your main finding or thesis, and the main evidence or arguments that back it up. In empirical contributions, the main contribution section should include a summary of method, results and conclusions. In theoretical contributions, no subheadings are needed.

· Please use the Implications section to discuss any implications of your research that you consider noteworthy. Relevance for musicology? Relevance for other fields? Applications? This section cannot be left out!
