Restore: our aims

Restoreis an award-winning Oxfordshire charity that supports people who have experienced mental health problems in Oxfordshire to recover and lead meaningful and fulfilling lives. We aim to build people's capacity to engage in work, community and social life through creative work rehabilitation, education, training, and support.

We believe that everyone has talents and abilities, and the capacity to make a valuable contribution to the community. People with mental health problems have the right to work and the right to the support they need to become and remain employed. We believe that the stigma associated with mental health problems damages the whole community and we work to challenge this discrimination. We are committed to ensuring that people who use our services are involved in setting priorities and making decisions about the way we work and the things we do.

Restore: what we do

Restore works to enable people with mental health problems to recover, develop and secure employment. We run two main services across Oxfordshire: the recovery service and the coaching service. The recovery service supports people to work in teams running social enterprises. The teams produce plants and crafts to sell, run a café set in beautiful gardens, a vegetable delivery business and a hospital shop and café. The coaching service provides one to one support to help people improve their employability, get and keep work. We work withapproximately 800 people a year across Oxfordshire.
