TAKE HOME ASSIGNMENT – The End of Gender
Instructions:
1. Read the NPR opinion piece by Linton Weeks (class handout)
2. Look up words that you are not familiar with or do not understand.
3. Write an answer letter.
Pretend that you are Dr. Sociologist, the question-and-answer person for a magazine called “Sociology and the Real World.” One day you receive an email with the following question from a reader: “Does gender matter or not?”
a. Provide the reader with an answer by contrasting “gender matters” and “gender does not matter.” For your answer you have to use arguments presented in the reading by L. Weeks and in the textbook chapter 11 (and not your own opinion).
b. Proofread your work.

min. 1.5 to 2 pages (450-600 words)
