How to get to Ciemat from the hotel: bus - subway - walking:

Underground (Metro)

The subway station “Ciudad Universitaria” on Line 6 is the closest to CIEMAT. From there you can reach CIEMAT by walking around 10-15 min or taking the bus number 82. Metro stations where you can take buses 82 are “Moncloa” or “Argüelles” (line 6) (See Map ).

Bus (Autobús)

The bus number 82 has a stop in front of the CIEMAT main entrance. The bus terminal is at “Meléndez Valdés” street, near to the “Moncloa” transportation hub. (See Map ).

Taxi

You should tell the taxi driver to go to “CIEMAT, Avenida Complutense 40”.

Public Transport from the airport

Underground (Metro)

Once in the “Aeropuerto” metro station, the route is:

Bus (Autobús)

**Tickets and fares

The single ticket, valid for a bus journey, can only be purchased on board buses with a price of around 1.50 € on all fleet lines (consult in case of airport trip). It is obligatory for the user to pass the ticket through the machine when getting on the bus and making it available to company personnel who could require it during the journey.

The 10-trips ticket named METROBUS is valid for making 10 journeys on all normal EMT network lines as well as the whole METRO network. You could obtain it in METRO network kiosks or in newspaper kiosks and authorised “estancos”, and also through the automatic machines located at the entrance of the Metro station (price: 12.20 €). Instructions are available in Spanish, English, French and German.

There is also available a Tourist Travel Pass. With the Tourist Travel Pass you are entitled to use all public transport services in the Region of Madrid, with unlimited use, within the period of validity. There are five types: for 1, 2, 3, 5 and 7 calendar days (adults and children), you may chose between two different zones: A (the area within the municipal boundaries) and T (city and surrounding areas). Taxi.

To take a taxi you must go to the appropriate taxi rank. These are located outside the ground floor in all terminals. Ignore any drivers who offer their services unsolicited inside the terminals. Make sure that the taxi driver has started up the taximeter at the start of the journey (minimum fare). Journey time to central Madrid is around 30 min, depending on traffic, and costs 30 Euro (fixed fare). Demand a bill in the case of any complain.
