Course Description

Basic Patrol Rifle School

Development Topics Covered

·  Basic Operational Fundamentals

·  Shooting Positions

·  Use of the Sling

·  Tactical Transition Techniques (Rifle to Handgun)

·  Shooting While Moving

·  Tactical Loading

·  Weapon Stoppages

·  Maintenance and Cleaning

Equipment Required

·  Patrol Rifle with Sling (Preferably in .223 Caliber)

·  Iron Sights are Recommended, Optics are permissible

·  Three 30 round Magazines

·  800 rds Rifle Ammo (should be same weight as duty ammo)

·  Duty Belt with Pistol

·  100 rds Pistol Ammo

·  Eye and Ear Protection

·  Ballistic Vest

·  Cleaning Equipment

Fee: There is no fee for member agencies

$300.00 for non-members
