Dear Team Members, 20 April, 2002
As you all are aware we are rapidly moving forward on our exciting project.
The resulting application is going to be more faster and powerful than our
existing array of smaller stand-alone applications.
The one of the objectives of this project was also to save money in the long
run by reducing computer costs and processing power. We needed an ideal team
on this project. Our team members needed to have a dedicated work ethic,
knowledgeable in the current applications and shared the objectives and
goals of our project. The final team members were hand picked by Kevin and I
as they were the best in our company.
As we have progressed in our few sections of our project, everything is
proceeding like clockwork and everybody in the team is doing an outstanding
job. We are on target to complete our project ahead of schedule.
Unfortunately due to some fluctuations of the market, we are going to be
over our budget at the completion of the project. We have looked at various
options that are available to bring us back to within our budget and
unfortunately the best option for the company is to pull a few people out
from the project. After hard and tough evaluation we decided to pull the
four of you out of the project.
The company recognizes your continued hard work and dedication to the
project and this action in no way reflect on your performance or skills as
individuals. The company looked at various options to bring us within budget
and this decision was taken with reluctance, as we didn't wanted our team to
start as well as finish the project.
As a recognition of your dedication and support to the project the company
is giving each one of you a week's vacation and priority consideration for
our future projects.
