Maths

This week we have looked at written multiplication methods. For homework, I would like you to apply this strategy to the investigation below.

Tip to get you started with question 1.

3 multiplied by what gives an answer where there is a 1 in the Units column?

Remember to carry digits and add them to find the answer to the calculation

Important information: The letter in the question and answer represents the same digit.

If you would like any more tips, come and ask me.

English

This week we have written blogs based on events from our class novel. For your homework, I would like you to write one of your own choice. If you would like to type it, that is fine.

·  A travel blog linking back to a place you visited in the summer e.g Holidaying in …

·  Your weirdest dream(s)

·  Events over the weekend/midweek (diary)

·  A club you belong to and would recommend

·  A favourite book/film/author etc (review)

·  Your pets

Use an informal style and add as much detail as possible so that the reader as a full understanding.

Spellings: Learning strategies are going to be taught in class over the next few weeks. The children will then become aware of which strategy works best for them in order to retain and apply spelling rules and patterns.
