I returned to school after several years working, continuing to work more than 30 hours per week while caring for two beautiful daughters, and still completing my degree and am preparing to transfer. I had little time for additional activities, but I visited the ARC MESA center every chance possible and contributed whenever I could.

I have been a proud CRC MESA member, tutor, CRC MESA Student Co-coordinator. I volunteered at the Birthing Project Clinic in Sacramento and with SUMMA at the Intergenerational Health Fair, Health Career Association. I have earned the CRC African American Honors Award, Frontier Communication Math, Science, and Engineering Award, Dr. Queen Randall’s Excellence Award and School’s Financial Credit Union Award.
