We help families help their youngest members thrive … because … when you change the first five years, you change the rest!

  1. We BUILD through our investments in people and programs, such as in earlyeducation and school readiness:

In collaboration with Winston-Salem Forsyth County Schools, Family Services, Inc., and a network of high quality private child care centers, we operate 46 NC Pre-Kclassrooms in 26 sitesserving 600at-risk, four-yearoldchildren.

We provide almost $2M in family child care scholarships, enabling almost 300 working families to purchase high quality early learning experiences for their children while the parents earn and living or learn new skills.

  1. We SERVE through the work of our professional staff in the community, such as technical assistance and professional development for early education business owners and teachers.

We support child care facilities in maintaining and enhancing the quality of their programs and services to young children.

We provide training, professional development, classroom and center resources, support, consultation, and technical and financial assistance.

  1. We LEAD through our strategic partnerships with individuals and organizations, such asThe Forsyth Promise, the Forsyth County NC Pre-K Committee, and the Forsyth County School Readiness Initiative.

We help lead the effort to mobilize resources, track the metrics, and shape public opinion to build and sustain an affordable, comprehensive, high quality system of early childhood development and learning.
