(Based on Sermon by Rev. David Edosa)

Title: GO!

Scripture Text: Exodus 9:1

INTRODUCTION

Have you ever wondered why is it that when you are willing and ready to serve God, there is always something that stopped or distracted you from doing so? There is always an opposition that stops you from serving or worshiping God. This opposition is known as the spirit of Pharaoh. It is time for you to command the Pharaoh in your life to go.

Point of discussion

What are the facts about Pharaoh, according to the book of Exodus Chapter 10?

 Verse 1 - God wants to show a wonderful sign to the Pharaoh in your life

 Verse 3 - Pharaoh never leaves without a fight, so never fight your battle without God on your side

 Verses 8-11 - Pharaoh will want to negotiate, but never allow the enemy to dictate to you

 Verses 16-18 - Never fall for the prank of the Pharaoh because he will try to stop you from praying

 Verse 20 - God sometimes sets up the Pharaoh in our lives for its own destruction

 Verse 24 - The enemy won't stop negotiating so never allow Pharaoh to dictate to you

 Verses 25-26 - Never give the enemy a foothold, because it will turn into the stronghold

What is the plan of God regarding your Pharaoh?

 God has more punishment for your enemy/Pharaoh - Read Exodus 11.1

 God will put fear in the mind and heart of your enemies/Pharaoh - Read Exodus 11:3

 When God is wiping out your Pharaoh, you will be spared - Read Exodus 12:13 (No plague come close to the children of God)

 Your Pharaoh is about to submit to your God, so never give up - Read Exodus 12:31. Pharaoh submitted to the God of Moses

 The end of your Pharaoh is nearer than you can ever imagine - Read Exodus 12:41

 God never sleeps, but keep vigil because of your situation till your Pharaoh is destroyed - Read Exodus 12:42

Things you need to know….

 You don't have a problem, but your problem has a problem and you are your problem's problem

 There will always be an opposition, but we have to stand firm against it

 Our prayer sends trouble into the camp of the enemies and God will make a distinction between us and Pharaoh

 In the midst of your battle, God will show that He is God

CONCLUSION

The enemy will fight and want to hold you back, just as Pharaoh was stopping the children of Israel from leaving Egypt, but when God is telling you to go, don't hold back. Always declare that the enemy must let your family go. You must get to a place where you refuse the enemy to have the last word. You must never stop, always keep on going!
