1.0 Minutes from last meeting
Minutes from previous meeting approved.
2.0 Matters Arising from Previous Minutes
Luke Beaumont still complete article on fencing at Holtdale View. / LB
AM indicated that a site meeting with Phil Chambers from CommunitySpaces was to take place on 26th November 2010.
3.0 NPT Police Pledge
PCSO Gareth Howarth indicated that for October there had been 4 burglaries, 2 attempted and 2 actual.
No reports of thefts from bin cupboards or sheds.
Criminal damage – 2 smashed windows on H/dale View and the Way.
Theft reported on Holt Farm Rise of a missing birdhouse.
There have been no issues regarding ASB at the Community Library at Ralph Thoresby School.
4.0 West North West homes Leeds
AM provided an update on the performance of WNWhL in the Holt Park area for the period 14/10/10 to 09/11/10
Presently there is 7 Noise Nuisance case, and 4 Neighbour/Harassment Disputes.
Environmental Action included 0 reports of Graffiti, 1 Estate Repairs and 6 reports of Waste Dumping.
Lettings and Empty Properties – 2 properties on notice, and an additional 4 properties are empty. 2 properties had been relet (1 Direct Lets, 1 Joint Tenancy becoming a Single Tenancy).
Repairs and Maintenance – 21 repairs reported as emergency/out of hours, 33 priority internals, 90 general internals. No of jobs completed for the period was 242, and 182 jobs were ordered.
AM provided an update on Income Management within the Holt Park area.
Total number of accounts in arrears as at 9 November 2010 is 492 with an overall debt of £42,396
There are 13 accounts with debts between £500 and £1,000 totalling £8,266, and 9 cases with debts over £1,000 totalling £13,759
5.0 Sanctuary Housing Association
AM provided an update in the absence of Rachel Oliver. 1 ongoing case of Noise Nuisance , and 1 case of Harassment/Neighbour disputes which is awaiting the outcome of the court.)
Lettings and Empty Properties – 2 properties currently empty, 2 properties under Notice, and 1 abandoned. Properties let between 03/08/10 & 03/10/10 show 1 properties allocated through a nomination.
Managing the Environment – 0 graffiti, 1 untidy gardens, pot holes in car park, loose paving slabs around scheme.
Action taken – letter sent to tenant regarding overhanging bush. Orders raised for SHA to repair paving slabs in the areas where Sanctuary Hsg Assn are responsible. Orders also raised for potholes to be filled in car parks and SHA will look to obtain quotes to tarmac the car parks.
6.0 Holt Park Dreamscheme 2011 & Youth Activities
AM will be contacting Groundwork Leeds to determine a new scheme for young people in the Holt Park area.
Looking to get young people involved in the Holt Park Entrance Project, planting wild flowers, and doing some low level maintenance work.
AM will continue to support the Friday Night Project on their steering group. AM working with Gill Wyatt – Extended Services Manager to bring Bumpy to the area, along with the mobile skateboard park. Update at next meeting in December 2010. / AM
7.0 Holt Park Community Mosiac
AM confirmed that letter gone out to all community artists in the Leeds area. Deadline for replies is early January 2011.
AM asked for volunteers to act as a selection panel. Christina Shaw, and Christine Lunn agreed to be on the panel.
8.0 Community Trips
AM indicated that the Holt Park Tenants & Residents Association were looking to put on two trips.
> Visit to various faith establishments in Woodhouse, including the Makkah Masjid Mosque, All Hallows Church, and the Hindu Temple.
> Visit to The Houses of Parliament. Greg Mulholland MP has agreed to cover the cost of the entry into both the House of Commons, and the House of Lords.
Both trips are to be arranged for early 2011.
AM to provide an update at the next meeting. / AM
AM indicated that WNWhL have a Youth Forum, and at present three young people from the Holtdales attend. It is being proposed by WNWhL to hold their next Youth Forum at the Youth Centre at Holt Park. AM will provide an update from this meeting. / AM
9.0 AOB – General discussions took place during several items around service standards of both LCC and WNWhL. It was agreed that in the new year this association would invite representatives from Streetscene (LCC), Highways (LCC), Environmental Action (LCC), Income Management (WNWhL), and Estate Caretaking (WNWhL). / AM
9.0 Next Meeting
Date for next meeting is set for 16th December
2010, with the starting time of 6.45pm. Venue will be Ralph Thoresby School, as this is the Christmas meeting it will only contain agenda items, minutes from last meeting, and Police update. Start at 6.45pm and end 8pm. Light refreshments and music will be available.
