Firestorm Red Thunder

Forgotten Forces

HOH 15/10/17 –60 point Quick Missions Campaign Day

Detente has failed, conciliation was taken as weakness, and the unthinkable war has started. The history books and news reporters will tell of the red tide of oppression rolling across the borders of the free world, but in a war of this size, side roads, cul-de-sac valleys and isolated strongholds will need to be fought over and even far flung outposts will be scenes of carnage as the main battle rages.

At the fringes small formations don’t have the access to all the high level support available to Main Force units and will need to rely more on the effectiveness of the equipment in their own formations to achieve quick, concise results.These stories are often lost in the flood of information rushing in from the Front, but the Forgotten Forces Campaign day will allow us to play out some of the experiences.

This Campaign day will be played using 60 point lists on 4x4 tables, the Quick Missions PDF and the Beasts of War simplified campaign map to play a four game, one day event based on the Firestorm Red Thunder Campaign System.

The campaign will be held at the Hall of Heroes, 60 Queen Street, Campbelltown, NSW. The Campaign will be played using the Team Yankee official Rules plus the current FM101; .

At the Event you will play four games of Team Yankee over the afternoon using missions from the Team Yankee Quick Missions PDF

All the tables and the terrain will be provided and by prior arrangement there will also be loaner armies available.

What you can field - Army Restrictions

When writing your army List you’ll need to make sure it meets the following rules;

-No more than 60 points may be spent on the army.

-Your list should not include any Air or Anti-Air Units as it is assumed these resources have been diverted to the main battlefields. Simply put, nothing that flies or whose main purpose is to shoot down things that fly can be included. Airlanding units can be used without their choppers. NOTE: This may not preclude the occasional player fielding an Afgantsy or Brit Airlanding. If you wish to run one of these, talk to Bryan or Ralph.

-Armies should be chosen from valid TY books, although some pre-release lists or substitute lists may be allowed, check with Bryan or Ralph.

-Your miniatures should be painted to be recognisable as the troops taken. If you only have access to unpainted miniatures, feel free to ask about the available loaner armies or ask the organizers.

-Your army list can be submitted on the day.

Scoring.

As this is a social, campaign based day there will be no scoring for victory points other than in regards to the progress of the Campaign and there will be no scoring as such for Painting, History or Sportsmanship as there would be in a tournament but players are still expected to behave in a sportsmanlike manner and approach the games with a suitably sensible approach to miniatures and game play.
