FINANCIAL POLICY
Thank you for choosing Hillside Veterinary Clinic. We hope an understanding of our financial policy will contribute to a successful and long lasting relationship with you and your pet.
PAYMENT IS REQUIRED AT TIME OF SERVICE by cash, check, or credit card (Visa, MC, Discover, Care Credit) with the exception of the circumstances listed below.
CARE CREDIT MAY BE APPLIED FOR ON LINE OR IN THE CLINIC. See receptionist or the office manager for details or to apply.
SPECIAL CIRCUMSTANCES
First Appointments: No Checks; Cash or Credit Card (Visa, MC, Discover, Care Credit)
Elective Surgery: All elective surgeries must be paid in advance, on or before the day the animal is brought to the Clinic for surgery. These surgeries include, but are not limited to, neuter/spay, declaw, and various cosmetic procedures including ear crops and tail docking.
Payment Agreements: Payment agreements are available, under limited circumstances, to clients who have been with the Clinic at least two years, whose accounts have always been in good financial standing, and who have an established record of wellness exams, immunizations, and parasite prevention. These agreements are only available on recommendation of the doctor. There are two types of Payment Agreements. One agreement is facilitated by Held Checks, the second is honored by Automatic Payments charged to the Client’s credit or debit card on specified dates. Interest does accrue to accounts on Payment Agreements.
BILLING: We charge 1.5% interest monthly on all outstanding account balances older than 30 days. A billing fee of $1.50 will be charged for each statement mailed. If you have an account 60 days past due, Hillside Veterinary Clinic may relinquish your balance owed to a collection agency.
RETURNED CHECKS: Hillside Veterinary Clinic charges $30 for returned checks. Checks that are not promptly covered will be turned over to the Mount Vernon Police Department or a Collection Agency.
PET INSURANCE: For clients with pet insurance, we are happy to provide you with the necessary documentation to submit a claim to your insurance carrier.
SOCIAL MEDIA:
I give my permission ______or I do not give my permission ______to Hillside Veterinary Clinic to post my pet’s picture and general information on the internet through either the website or through some type of Social Media such as the Hillside Veterinary Clinic Facebook page.
