The Highland County Board of Developmental Disabilities met for Organizational Meeting at 6:00 pm, Tuesday, January 26, 2016 at the Highland County Board of Developmental Disabilities. Board Members present: Karen Adams, Deborah Tissot, Sam Snyder, Lynne Patton, Cheryl Lyle, Linda Allen and Elizabeth Fryman
Others present were Debra Buccilla, Superintendent, Sherry Burns, Executive Administrative Assistant, Larry Gray, Operations Director, Darlene Colliver, Education Coordinator, Suzie Janasov, EI Coordinator, Becky Pollard, Nurse, Lori Moore, Business Director, Kraig Walker, Community Service Director, Kelli Williamson, SSA Director and Jeff Duncan, Commissioner.
ROLL CALL: Sam Snyder, present; Deborah Tissot, present; Cheryl Lyle, present; Karen Adams, present; Lynne Patton, present, Linda Allen, present, Elizabeth Fryman, present
Oath of Office by Jeff Duncan, Highland County Commissioner for new Board Member Elizabeth Fryman.
Declaration of Eligibility was signed and dated by all board members.
Election of Officers
President: Sam Snyder was nominated
A motion was made by Lynne Patton, seconded by Cheryl Lyle for Sam Snyder to become President of the HCBDD for 2016. All yea. Motion carried
Vice President: Linda Allen was nominated
A motion was made by Deborah Tissot, seconded by Cheryl Lyle for Linda Allen to become Vice President of the HCBDD for 2016. All yea. Motion carried.
Secretary: Deborah Tissot was nominated
A motion was made by Cheryl Lyle, seconded by Lynne Patton for Deborah Tissot to become Secretary of the HCBDD for 2016. All yea. Motion carried.
2016 Highland County Board Meeting Calendar
A motion was made by Deborah Tissot, seconded by Linda Allen to approve the 2016 Highland County Board Meeting Calendar. All yea. Motion carried.
Reaffirm the Mission Statement: Enhancing the quality of life in our community- one person at a time.
A motion was made by Linda Allen, seconded by Cheryl Lyle to reaffirm the current Mission Statement. All yea. Motion carried.
Reaffirm the current Highland Board Policies
A motion was made by Linda Allen, seconded by Cheryl Lyle to reaffirm the current HCBDD Board Policies for 2016. All yea. Motion carried.
A motion was made by Lynne Patton, seconded by Linda Allen to keep the Committees with the same members but add Elizabeth Fryman to vacancies. All yea. Motion carried
Assignment of Board Members to Board Committees
Ethics Committee: Cheryl Lyle, Lynne Patton, Linda Allen
Assignment of Board Members to Superintendent Committee
Finance: Sam Snyder, Elizabeth Fryman, Karen Adams
Personnel: Linda Allen, Sam Snyder, Deborah Tissot
Operations: Karen Adams, Cheryl Lyle, Elizabeth Fryman
Approval to provide public notice of all Board Meetings as required by ORC 121.22
A motion was made Linda Allen, seconded by Deborah Tissot for approval to provide notice of all Board Meetings as required by ORC 121.22. All yea. Motion carried.
At approximately 6:10 pm Cheryl Lyle made a motion, seconded by Linda Allen to adjourn the Organizational Meeting to enter into the Regularly Scheduled January Board Meeting.
All yea. Motion carried.
