Successful 2nd edition of the Health Tech Event:
“Technology as a driver for change in health care”
Attendees experienced innovation, inspiration and creation at our network conference
Eindhoven, January 31–The wide variety of topics around health & technology has againturnedthe Health Tech Event into a big success. Speakers of various companies such as Philips Research and BioRICS succeeded to inspiremore than 135 (inter)national attendees during the various seminars, in which the latest technologies and innovations were presented.
The program included keynotes of among others Lucien Engelen (on the first experiences at Radboud University with Google Glass) and Jeroen Slobbe (on cyber risks that threaten the safety of medical devices). In addition to the larger companies, some start-up companies intensified Health Tech Event ’14 by presenting their innovative ideas and products. For instance, Niki Smit of Monobanda told about sensory stimulation to activate elderly people with dementia. And Michiel de Klein and Carlo Schipper, who created a platform to improve communication towards the patient, using holographic presentation of doctors in an impressive holoboxx.
Next to keynotes and a range of breakout presentations, Health Tech Event ‘14 featured an exhibition area and Start-up Plaza. Exhibitors like the Centre of Translational Molecular Medicine (CTMM) and Proxible (aiming to transfer hospitals into smart environments) informed the attendees about their interesting services.
