Specifications
DESIGNED FOR LIGHTING OF PRESTIGIOUS ROADS WHERE PERFORMANCE, AESTHETIC AND LIGHT POLLUTION CONSIDERATIONS ARE IMPORTANT FACTORS.
The luminaire shall consist of a main housing with hinged cover, containing the separate control gear and optical compartments. The two-part canopy shall be connected via a stainless steel hinge. The luminaire shall be designed to operate high pressure sodium of up to 600W.
The luminaire shall bear the SANS 475 performance mark and the SANS 60598-2-3 safety mark.
The luminaire shall have a degree of protection that complies with SANS 60598-2-3.
Lamp compartment: Sealsafe® IP66
Gear compartment: IP65
The IP ratings shall be certified by SABS test reports.
The body and cover shall be manufactured from high quality robust die cast aluminium, powder coated in RAL 7001 (Silver Grey), to which a high impact-resistant glass protector shall be sealed. The spigot entry mounting shall be incorporated into the body and shall allow for either lateral or vertical mounting. A silicon sponge gasket shall be fitted into a special groove in the cover. This, in conjunction with the extruded aluminium closing lever provided on the cover, shall ensure a reliable IP65 rating. Side entry – ø60mm x 125mm,
Bottom entry – ø60-76mm x100mm.
The optical compartmentshall consist of a polished and anodized aluminium reflector and curved glass protector. The optical compartment shall be equipped with a one-piece Sealsafe® reflector, which shall ensure the long-term IP66 rating of the lamp compartment. The protector glass shall beimpact-resistance rated to IK08.
The control gear shall be mounted upon a removable corrosion-resistant gear tray. The control gear shall be suitable for operation with the specified lamps on a 240V +3%/-10% at 50Hz, single phase supply. The control gear shall bear the relevant SABS mark. Mains connections shall be by means of a suitable screw terminal block with a wire clamping contact. The luminaire shall be power factor corrected to a minimum of 0,9.
The ONYX 33 shall be available pre-installed with the OWLET LuCo (Luminaire Controller) as a standard option, for integration with the OWLET nightshift Telemanagement System. The Luminaire Controller shall be installed on the removable gear tray, and shall be pre-wired. The Luminaire Controller shall allow for the remote manual or automatic switching and dimming of the luminaire.
