Invitation of 22ndGhanna International Trade Fair / 18 January / Forwarded Invitation of 22ndGhanna International Trade Fair scheduled from 28 Feb-7 March, 2018 to TDAP and leading trade bodies of Pakistan. / Liaison is to be maintained for future B2B connections.
4th Made in Nigeria Shoe Expo (MINSE), 27th – 29th September, 2018, lagos, / 18 January / Shared invitation of Expo of Shoe Industry with all Chambers of Pakistan and TDAP for sharing with the relevant industry. / To be followed with the trade bodies.
Invitation for Pakistan Footwear Manufacturer's Association (PFMA) / 19 January / Invitation of Shoe Expo was shared with Pakistan Footwear Manufacturer's Association (PFMA). Invitation was also discussed with Mr Farukh Salim, Chairman of PFMA telephonically. I tried to convince him for participation on his cell no. 0300-8460095. I also requested him to display this Expo on the website of the Association. He promised to take up the matter in the meeting of their Association for working out participation mechanism. / To be followed with the trade bodies.
Home Decore & Giftware Expo, November, Lagos / 29 January / This Trade Fair is of great significance for our Textile sector, Carpet industry, Furniture industry etc. Commercial Section has developed communication channels with the organisers. Details have been shared with all the Chambers as well as the export oriented industrial associations of relevant sectors. Thus office has received several queries and same have been addressed promptly to encourage participation. Details have also been forwarded to individual exporters who indicated interest in this market. / To be followed with the trade bodies.
Economic Attache of High Commission of Nigeria in Islamabad / 28 January / Talked to Economic Attache of Nigerian High Commission in Pakistan and enquired about the up-date of BTA. He informed that they will forward to Nigeria for consideration only after receipt through diplomatic channels of MOFA. I have informed Madam Maria Qazi about this issue with request to take it up with MOFA. / Liaison is to be maintained for future B2B connections.
Three Sector based Trade Fairs of Nigeria / Talked to Mr Muhammad Farooque, Director TDAP, regarding approval of Trade Fairs for Nigeria. Forwarded him a fresh recommendation of three sector specific trade fairs for financial support i.e. Food West Africa, Medic West Africa and Home Decore. Budget details, marketing brochures, post-event reports, market potential and details of focal person of respective Trade Fair have also been provided for ease of decision. / To be followed with the TDAP.

Future Visit of Ghanna / Commercial Section has started homework on the accredited countries. The Hon’ Consul General Mr Robert K. Nartey has been approached to make preparation for meetings and data compliation.
Future Visit of Bennin / Commercial Section has also requested the Hon’ Consul General Mrs Kabbassi regarding visit of Commercial Secretary.
Future Visit of Niger / Embassy of Pakistan in Niamey, Niger has also been requested details of trade fairs of Niger and appropriate time to visit Niger to explore opportunities and developing B2B connections.
Economic Attache of High Commission of Nigeria in Pakistan / Pursued the case of BTA with the High Commission.

  2. Responded query of M/s Siddiqsons regarding potential and marketing tactics for exporting Denim to Nigeria. They promised to forward marketing brochure to share with the potential importers of Nigeria.
  3. Responded query of Mr. Jawed Sheikh of M/s Sakama Carpet Industries regarding marketing of handwoven carpets and leather jackets. I forwarded him references of Mr. Junaid Jehangiri, M/s Fashion Designers Association of Nigeria, list of Nigeria trade bodies with e-mails and phone numbers and details of Home Decor Expo.
  4. Forwarded details Trade Fairs related to Food products to M/s Mecca foods. Besides, advised them about the potential of the food market and apprised them of influence of Nigerian market on the neighbouring countries.
  5. Responded whatsapp query of Mr Habib Randhava of RB Textile regarding marketing in Nigeria.
  6. Responded Ms Muzammal of M/s Al-Huda Trust regarding marketing of Islamic Banking services in Lagos, Nigeria.
  7. Responded several queries of exporters of textile industry regarding participation in Home Decore Expo.
